Time much summer!!!

This summer our family went on 8000 mile trip and we saw it all! We had so much fun that the kids have already started planning next years trip. Hopefulyy we will be able to stop in Lake City, Fl for a visit with the Frosyths and then up the coast to see Russ again.

 First stop was Badlands National Park to see the buffalo and to climb around on the cool formations

 Kirkland, Ohio was the next big stop. This is the Kirkland Temple which we were able to tour. We then went to the Latter day Saints visitor suites to see the Newel K Whitney Store.

 Niagara Falls, NY was very impressive.

 Smith Farm and Smith House in Palmyra, NY. The Sacred Grove was also a highlight, but no pictures were taken.

Pink shoe laces

So Dan's sister Coleen has breast cancer and her 15 year old son asked us to wear one pink shoe lace on the right side. Even Liam wanted to wear pink. So if you see us being a little different it's because we love Coleen :)

Chicken??

So the other day while we were all eating dinner Hazel went missing. From are table we can look out into the back yard. Liam yells "she in the coop", my thoughts are that she is in the fenced in yard outside the coop. NO she was in the COOP!! We all run out. Hazel is not afraid of the chicken in fact she was trying to feed them her dinner. (which was not chicken if you were wondering.)

For spring break this year we went to The Redwoods in California.
It started out wet and cold but ended sunny and beautiful. We had a great time. Not so much camping as planned, but no one was complaining.

So I was thinking that I should put some more picture up before another year goings by. I found these. The marker face is from our last drive to Utah at Christmas.

Savannah was able to host a New Years Eve party.
She has great friends and we all had a great time.
Minute to Win it games were a big hit.

Dec. 2011

Dan WON his first marathon and PR(personal record) 2:57:35
Hazel cried on Santa's lap and we had to dig up
our backyard to put in a new drain field.

Nov. 2011

Savannah finish her first year of High school Cross Country. She was able to letter her freshmen year.

Dan took Hazel and Liam up Mount Pillchuck for an overnighter in the lookout tower. Girls at home ate bad for us food and watched girly movies.

Oct. 2011

For Halloween the kids were the following:
Autumn-the queen of hearts
Liam-Flynn Rider (from Tangled)
Hazel-Rapunzel (from Tangled)

We also took a walk on the old highway. This is a snow shed to keep the snow off the tracks. It was way impressive.

Sept 2011

In Sept. school started. Savannah is now in High School and Liam started 3rd grade. Autumn gets her Dad again for 5th grade.


We also got to walk in an autism walk to raise awareness. Daniel is our cousin who has autism. he is 5 years old. His favorite color is ORANGE so we all wore orange.

Aug

August found us camping in the Monte Crisco area. We had fun hiking and biking.

This month Savannah graduated from middle school. She had a great three years at 10th street with good friends and good teachers.

May 2011

Slow month for picture, but we ended the month at Ensign, a church run camp. We had a great Memorial weekend. Hiking, biking, rock climbing, horse back riding, slip-n-sliding and Kayaking. We were with great friends and had great food. The kids were playing kick ball on our island, and the ball went in the water, unknown to us, Autumn jumped in the kayak and went after the ball. She did a great job and it was fun watching her move the kayak around. We all watched and I think she asked an adult before she went in the water.

So the rest of our spring break we went to Yakima so Dan could run his favorite marathon. Yakima Canyon. This was his 5 time running this race. After we spent th enight in Hotel and the next day on bikes with cousins along the trail. We stopped for lunch and then kept riding. I will be the first to admit that I didn't want to ride the whole way back to the cars, so myself and the young kids stayed at a park and played while Dan, Clifton, Shannon, Caleb and Savannah rode back to the cars.

Dan also got BEES during April. It was learning process that he was glad to under take however his bees all died and he most likely will not do it again.

April 2011

For Spring break last year we were able to jump on the trian and head for Canada.
We had a great time. We had no car so we did a lot of walking which meant that we saw alot of beautiful things. Autumn took lots of pictuures. We spent the night and then caught the train home the next night. It also is Vancouver's 100th birthday so there was a lot going on in the city. Free cake and music were a few of the highlights.

So this month Liam was able to help with a flag ceremony. He is loving cub scouts. He also loves having a best friend who comes with him.
